The state’s non-major ports have witnessed substantial cargo movement, reflecting Andhra Pradesh’s growing prominence in maritime trade. The cargo handling statistics for major non-major ports are as follows:

  • Krishnapatnam Port: 37.786 MMT
  • Gangavaram Port: 16.201 MMT
  • Kakinada Deep Water Port: 11.150 MMT
  • Kakinada Anchorage Port: 2.326 MMT
  • Rawa Port: 0.443 MMT

Future Growth Prospects

With multiple upcoming ports in the pipeline, Andhra Pradesh is poised for exponential growth in its cargo-handling capacity. The ongoing development of ports like Machilipatnam, Mulapeta and Kakinada Gateway along with expansions at existing ports, will further strengthen the state’s position as a logistics powerhouse.
